Unemployed youths are invited to enroll for paid government training: the application process and deadline

Kenyan youths below the age of  35 years now stand a chance of making a monthly income while acquiring new skills through a government-sponsored programme that seeks to train them.

The  Competition Authority of Kenya (CAK) on 26th October 2922  made an announcement  about  looking for the cohort of the annual Young Professional Programme (YPP) for the year 2023.

According to this announcement, this body targets recent graduates who are unemployed and  seeking to gain skills in the country’s competition laws sector.

Part of the advertisement read, “The authority invites applications from suitably qualified applicants for the calendar year 2023,”

Applicants  that will be success will be offered a stipend at the end of every month during the one-year training period.

Also those that will be  successful through the programme will be absorbed on permanent and pensionable terms with this  the government body.

procedure on How to Apply

The CAK has recommended that the  applicants must have a Masters Degree in Law, Economics or Business related course as well as  be aged  35 years and below.

Additionally, all the applicants are further advised  to submit their applications physically and should be  addressed to CAK director general or electronically via  recruitment@cak.go.ke.

Important Documents to be submitted during applications

An applicant must submit;

  • application letter,
  • a detailed CV,
  • a copy of their National Identification Card,
  • professional and academic certificates as well as referees.

 

Note

After the successfulness of an applicant, then  they will  be required to  copies of clearance certificates from the Kenya Revenue Authority, Higher Education Loans Board, Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, Criminal Investigations Department and Credit Reference Bureau.

As at now the applications are on until November 7, 2022  which is the deadline for the same .
