Teachers who are employed by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) are eligible to be examiners of Kenya Certificate of Primary Education ( KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of secondary Education (KCSE).

But before teachers undertake this duty , They have to go through mandatory training in order to become examiners for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE), Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), Primary Teacher Education (PTE), Diploma in Teacher Education (DTE), Business and Technical examinations by the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC).This training will equip them with required skills.

Teachers who wishes to become examiners with Knec must pay ksh.10500 through KNEC Mpesa pay bill number: 819313 using their own registered mobile phone number.

Teachers who are applying to be KNEC examiners must specify the appropriate examination for the Account Number, such as KCPE, KCSE, PTE, DTE, Business, or Technical as well as the MPESA reference Number .Qualified applicants will be notified of the training location at a later date and Successful trainees will be incorporated into KNEC Examiners’ database.
