For permanent and pensionable employment, applicants must present originals or legible photocopies of the following documents, among others:
I National identity card;
ii) Teacher Registration Certificate;
iii) Proof of service as a teacher intern (if applicable);
iv) PTE Diploma;
v) KCSE certificates or equivalent (including certificates for re-sit exams);
vi) KCPE certificate or equivalent (including certificates for re-sitting exams);
vii) Proof of payment for the KNEC Statement of Results Confirmation (where applicable);
viii) Primary and secondary school diplomas, as well as any other relevant documentation.
ix) National Council of Persons with Disabilities (NCPWD) Identification Card (if applicable);
x) Sworn Affidavit in cases where the names on the submitted documents differ;
TEACHER SELECTION IN THE EVENT OF A TIE
Equal opportunities must be provided to all applicants, regardless of gender, disability, ethnicity, or home county.
In the event of a tie, consideration for selection will be determined in the following order of priority:
I Disability status of applicants;
ii) Whether or not the applicant(s) has(have) previously participated in the TSC Teacher Internship Programme.
iii) Applicants who had not previously worked for the Commission;
iv) Applicants who have previously graduated and been registered as teachers;
v) The caliber of the academic and professional certificates presented.
N/B: If applicants are tied on PTE points, their combined KCSE grades will be considered.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS
The date and location of the selection will be posted on notice boards at the Commission’s County, Sub-County, and Zonal offices at least seven (7) days before the selection.
The selection panel will interview each applicant to determine whether or not he or she meets the requirements of the TSC advertisement.
Applicants who have previously worked for the Commission MUST declare their previous employment history and the reason(s) for their break in service (with justification for the break in service).
Applicants who have previously worked for the Commission and DO NOT declare their previous employment will be disqualified.
Applicants who have never worked for the Commission will be given preference.
