The Teacher Service Commission may, under certain circumstances, disqualify candidates from participating in the upcoming recruitment exercise.
Below are some of the reasons cited by TSC for the exclusion of candidates in the recruitment exercise.
Commitment to counterfeiting
Candidates for teachers presenting false papers are the main reason that can lead to disqualification during the recruitment exercise.
In most cases, the University indicated in the certificate is contacted to ascertain whether the qualification is authentic or not.
In case one is a canceled/Deregistered teacher
Those teachers who have probably been canceled due to dismissal from service or professional misconduct have another reason for disqualification during interviews.
If you have two TSC numbers
Teachers who have two TSC numbers are also disqualified during the recruiting exercise.
Two TSC numbers arrive after requesting another TSC number after being deregistered due to professional misconduct.
Teacher who does not meet the minimum requirements
Candidates who do not meet the minimum hiring threshold are also disqualified during the interview or selection exercise.
In order for one to secure employment with TSC, the teacher must obtain a minimum KCSE grade of C + and at least C + in the two taught subjects.
With bridging courses, a C (normal) score must be obtained in the teaching subject up to level A
Have certificates from unrecognized institutions
Teacher candidates presenting certificates from unrecognized institutions are also disqualified during the TSC recruitment exercise.
FailingĀ not to declare your previous employment
It is always important to note that the TSC requires candidates to indicate whether they have previously been employed by the committee. If one does not indicate, he will be disqualified.
When one lacks teaching exposure
Teachers who have not attended the teaching practice after undertaking the enhancement program will be disqualified during the interviews.
Your name missing from the list of degrees
In the event that a candidate is missing from the ranking, he will be disqualified. It therefore means that proof of enrollment in the degree ranking must be presented
Having different names on the certificates
Make sure the names appearing on all certificates are consistent.
Only in the event that different names appear on a certificate, the applicant will be disqualified. The teacher is required to submit a survey to justify the name change.
