The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has published the names of several teachers who have been sacked after disciplinary action.

The Teachers Service Commission, TSC, has been at the forefront in asking the government to hire more teachers as the current numbers are not enough to meet the threshold required to adequately teach children.

However, sometimes, there are issues with teachers that need to be fixed and that is why many people find themselves on the wrong side of the law and thus needlessly sent for packing by Teachers Service Commission, TSC. Are being given.

Last evening, according to The Star newspaper, 64 teachers were let off by the commission after they received some complaint against the teacher’s code of conduct.

The Teachers Service Commission has said that 64 teachers were released after disciplinary proceedings showed beyond reasonable doubt that they had broken rules.

According to Dr. Nancy Macharia, Chief Executive Officer of the Teachers’ Service Commission, the 64 teachers who have been released can no longer teach in any institution in the country after facing dismissal.

Teachers need to be role models and work within the teaching professional’s code of conduct, just like any other profession, to avoid getting fired from the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).

Here are common mistakes that can put a teacher under hot soup:

1. Stealing from school or from other fellow teachers

This usually applies to school heads managing school resources, if you are found guilty of embezzlement of school funds you will face disciplinary action and you can have me dismissed and sued in a court of law can run.

2. Sexual Malpractice

If you are accused of engaging in sexuam activities with a student you will face disciplinary action from the County Education Office and you will be unregistered from service if found guilty.

3. Drinking alcohol at work

TSC rules and regulations do not limit a teacher from drinking alcohol but it does not allow drinking within the school premises which will reduce their work efficiency so teachers who drink alcohol will be called before dismissal.

4. Fighting or assaulting a student or staff member

Teachers should act as role models for students so that when teachers get involved in physical fight it destroys the image of the school. If teachers join the fight they will lose their jobs.

5. Racial Discrimination

Schools are meant to create national unity and equality between teachers and students so racial discrimination is against the TSC code of conduct.

If a school head is found to be discriminating against teachers during employment or within the school, he/she will also be held liable; before the County Education Committee. lead to dismissal.

Teachers are encouraged to maintain good working relations within the school and follow all prescribed rules and regulations from their employers to protect themselves from problems.
