As from  November and December of this year, 2022, the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) will administer the 2022 Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) national examinations.

As from  November 25, 2022, the rehearsals for the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the Kenya Primary School Education Assessment (KPSEA) will take place .

According to KNEC, the official examinations will start on November 28 and continue until November 30.

At the same time ,  KCSE will be rehearsed on November 18 and administered between November 21 and December 23, 2022.

With the Diploma in Early Childhood Teacher Education (DECTE) examinations will be given by the Council from November 21st to November 25th, 2022, after a day of rehearsal on November 18th.

All the Sub-County Directors have been tasked by the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) with finding, nominating, and vetting centre managers, supervisors, and invigilators to oversee the exercise and deploying them by October 18, 2022.

Additionally, the TSC CEO Nancy Macharia made a statement instructing the Board of Directors to maintain a ratio of one invigilator per twenty pupils and one supervisor per two hundred candidates.

In a statement, TSC Boss said “No supervisor should be employed for hosted and KPSEA centres except for centres with KPSEA candidates only. You are required to deploy invigilators to hosted and KPSEA centres based on the number of candidates in the examination centre.”

She added, “Take note that the number of supervisors and invigilators should be adhered to especially during optional papers. The centre managers should ensure only the required number of supervisors and invigilators report each day or examinations and online attendance taken on daily basis. This will ensure teachers will not be idling in examination centres with no role to play.”
