In kenya we have different kinds of jobs but there are those that are well paying whereby all of us wish to get such jobs.

One has to work hard inorder to achieve their dreams

One is required to put in more effort inorder to achieve those dreams and goals. The major determinant is the choice of your career which will greatly influence the hopes of achieving hefty salary in kenya.

Therefore, here is a list of the best paying careers in kenya.

1. Engineering

This is a very wide course which covers different areas of specialisation. In this field there are many courses like software engineering, civil and structural engineering which are currently marketable. On the other hand there is chemical engineering that may take you centuries to get employment. Therefore, it is advisable to specialise in a field that can make you secure a job faster.

2. Medicine

It is a field that one is guaranteed of securing a job immediately after they graduate. It’s among the well paying jobs in kenya. It normally takes 5 years to finish the course and a one-year internship programme after which one will be employed. The only disadvantage with this career is, one has to work for extra hours and respond to emergency calls. It’s a career where one is paid a six figure salary.

3. Piloting and Aviation Industry

Most people desire to to be pilots because they believe it is a well paying job. Yes, it really pays hefty salaries. It is a field that is not yet flooded because it requires high costs of training which makes more people to deter from pursuing it. In kenya, pilots pocket a salary of ksh500, 000 and other allowances.

4. Architecture

This field mostly deal with planning, designing and reviewing construction of buildings. The University of Nairobi and JKUAT are well known to produce professional architects whereby once securing a job, one pockets over ksh300,000 monthly.

5. Information Technology (IT) 

This is the most marketable career since it grows rapidly due to technological advancement. Most people get employment since most of the organisations in kenya outsource IT services inorder to be at par with the trends that emerge in the market.

Now that you all know that there is no organisation in kenya that will run effectively without having IT department with IT experts.

6. Law

This is another lucrative career that can make you earn a lot of money once one establishes and builds their brand. A bigger number of lawyers own their law firms that offers various services to clients.
