All schools in Kenya were set to reopen for term 1 on April the 25th as per the ministry of education curriculum.

The cabinet secretary for education George Magoha had also earlier on stated that all students should be in school and no one should remain at home over fee issues as he claimed that the government released billions of money to support the free education.

However 4 schools in the country have been closed indefinitely shortly after their reopening.According to a report shared by Citizen Tv,schools in Baringo county have been closed due to several bandit attacks in the area and theft of animals in the villages.

Several gunshots have also been heard in the area from yesterday night till today morning. Most residents of the area have fled their homes due to fear to unknown places.

It is also reported that some are nursing injuries in hospitals after being shot in the attacks. However several police officers have been deployed in the area to monitor and trace suspects.
