The chief principal and administration in Mukumu Girls are under probe of alleged negligence on duties. It’s alleged that two students succumbed to Malaria in the school.
One student is set to be burried on Wednesday while the other has not been planned.
There is Malaria outbreak in school, regional director Barongo said. The two were diagnosed of Malaria and later succumbed. 28 other students were admitted in the hospital over the same condition.
The deputy principal was on spot for preventing such students from going home or communicating to their parents. This is what led to the worsening of the situation.
Western regional director Barongo ordered the county director and commissioner to investigate possiblity of the administration negligence in their duties.
Parents are complaining of poor environment pollution control. This has led to high number of mosquito investment in the school. Kindly, investigate poor waste disposal especially those of fruit remains in the school. Water is accumulated all over leading to high numbers of mosquito, one parent wrote on social media.
The parents were informed to ensure their children visit an hospital before they report back to school. We wish the students a quick recovery.
