This will be bad news to Teachers in overstaffed schools because some of them are going to be moved to schools which are understaffed.
However, it will be good news to Teachers in understaffed schools because workload is going to reduce.
The CEO said that teacher shortage currently stands at over 100000 Teachers while the government only allocates money to hire 5000 teachers annually.
Secondly, the CEO said the Commission in conjunction with the ministry of education is in the process of training teachers for CBC grade 7 & 8 which will commence next month.
Thirdly, macharia said Under presidential reward system, Teachers who do a good job will be rewarded.
However, she was quick to add that those who were caught abetting cheating will be punished.
“We are waiting for the KNEC tell us whether there are teachers who were involved in irregularities so that an action is taken against them. We won’t allow a few teachers to spoil the good name of our teachers”. She said.
