Bad News to Teachers Who Have Not Updated their TSC Profile As TSC is Set to Do The Following

Teachers Service Commission is set to launch the biometric registration exercise for all teachers under their umbrella once it completes the profile approval exercise .

According to TSC CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia the exercise will help the commission to to maintain a valid register of teachers as stipulated by the constitution.

” It also under Regulation 29 that we must continuously update teacher record and this is the register. So that if we have left out a detail we capture because we are required to do so ever so often”, She added.

According to Macharia, the commission will use Ksh342.2 million to register teachers electrically. The biometric registration is about capturing teachers bio data , for example the commission will be able to know if the teacher has gone back to school to undertake Teacher Professional Development training. As per Macharia,”We will shall also know if their is anything about the teacher that we do not know about”.

The biometric registration of teachers will involve taking a teacher biometric data for purposes of service enhancement. Teachers who have not updated their profile should do so to give room for TSC to approve it.
